DIRECT CARE WORKER - PART TIME

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for positive, compassionate, and supportive Direct Care Workers to work with a variety of patients in Southeastern PA. You will be responsible to assist our consumers with their daily activities for personal care, companionship, and clean home environment. Your services will aid our consumers to gain, maintain, and improve skills in the areas of self-care, daily living activities, social skills, and to enable the person’s involvement in community activities.

List of duties include:

• Chore Services
• Laundry
• Light/heavy housework
• Meal preparation
• Respite/companionship
• Shopping/errand running
• Personal Care Services
• Ambulation
• Assisting with oral medications
• Bathing
• Changing incontinence supplies
• Dressing
• Exercising
• Grooming/hygiene/skin care

Qualifications:

• Certificate of completion of an approved training program in Home Health Care or an approved competency evaluation program.
• If not certified, successful candidate may demonstrated competency by passing a competency examination.
• 6+ months experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for your job responsibilities.
• Health screening TB test (within 12 months of hiring date).
